It’s hard saying NO!

This morning we arose early to attend the BIG Walk at my 7yr old’s school, a celebration to mark Heritage Day in South Africa as well as a fund raising even for the Parent Association. We were advised to be at the school by 8.30 for breakfast, but having good fore-thought (or so I thought!), I breakfasted before going. At a charge, breakfast was a full on fat and carb affair and parents and students were tucking in and yes I resisted. Then came the nagging from our youngest son for wors rolls and hubby complied, buying for the both of them along with cans of cooldrink and water for me….of course, as usual, baby son couldn’t finish his portion and merrily dumped it on mommy….and what does mommy do? Yep, I caved and ate half a wors roll, (and i forgot that I was supposed to be abstaining from meat in solidarity with my mom who hasn’t done her prayers yet!~my bad!) but that’s not so bad hey, as i’ve had nothing else besides fruit and yogurt since then and have no intention of joining the boys who are merrily braaing away right now, a celebration of SA Braai Day….I guess I’ll have to wait it out for dinner….
