A fortnight ago…

…I’d never thought I’d be 5kg less heavy, albeit today 5.3kg less towards my goal.

The initial week with a massive 4.6kg loss had to be detox, even though I didn’t detox per say, just followed a NORMAL diet, it confirmed that adage, YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT, well for me at least. I’ve proved without a doubt that refined sugars, bad fats, a carb overload all contribute to the detriment of my health and the killer for me I suppose is red meat. Following a two week abstinence from red meat, I actually feel different. My insides feel lighter too and after a meal, I don’t suffer from bloatedness and indigestion which I find is a general contributor when I eat red meat. Having eliminated that from my eating plan for now seems to be working in my favour and I pray that I’m able to sustain it. The cherry on the top for me this past week was not having any meat protein, and I survived!***Grins***

So two weeks are over, with a good loss, which in pounds is just over 12. I’m happy with this and I’m also aware the the upcoming weeks are going to go slower with regard to the amount of weight that’s lost but what’s important to me is that I get the eating plan right. If it works in my favour that I lose along the way, the so be it~making this weight loss Utopia place easier to discover.

It’s still up and over for me, and I’m growing excited as I venture towards my closets and when I choose a pair of pants that I had to lie on the bed two weeks ago to zip up, that now zips up effortlessly with me standing up, that makes me smile in the recognition that something’s working.

Now the battle to “find” the exercise routine that supports my lifestyle….another battle that I’m willing to go up against and make it par for the course.
